Leona Puckett Monson, 78, Harrodsburg, wife of Robert Nelson Monson, died Mon., Nov. 24, 2014.
Born Oct. 10, 1936, in Estill Co., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mable Miller Puckett. She was former operator of the Trading Post in Burgin, a member of the Log Lick Christian Church, Clark Co., and was a member and former secretary of the Lexington Women's Bowling Association.
Other survivors include: three children, Madene (Pete) Fisher, Lexington, Joe (Denise) Monson, Harrodsburg, and Keith (Rita) Monson, Burgin; five grandchildren, Keri Puckett, Leeann Turner, Brian Monson, Shannon Wilson, and Lindsey Monson; one great grandchild, Baleigh Turner.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wed., Nov. 26, 2014, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Greg Warren. Burial will be held later at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Tues., Ransdell's.
Pallbearers are Paul Travis Wilson, Adam Turner, Brian, Joe, and Keith Monson, and Pete Fisher. Honorary bearer is Cecil Webb.
