Jimmie Bruce Carter, 75, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Janice Sue Shewmaker Carter, died Tuesday at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born August 18,1939, in Harrodsburg, to the late Simon E and Pauline (Vandivier) Carter. Jimmy was a lifelong Farmer and member of the Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife include: one son, Bobby Bruce (Janet) Carter of Harrodsburg; one brother, Gerald (Betty) Carter of Franklin, KY; one grandchild, Nicholas Wayne Carter; nieces, Tammy Sallee, Jessica Towe, and Paula Logue; several cousins.
Funeral services 1 PM Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Darrell Hahn and Joshua Stine. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Friday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Carter, Brent Logue, Bill Shewmaker, Bryan Logue, Gary Popplewell, Robert Sallee, David Proctor, and Mike Camic. Honorary bearers will be: Billy Logue, Ronnie Claunch, Donald Logue, Kermit Logue, William G. Shewmaker, J.W. Logue, Mike Vandivier, Roy Moore, Danny Vandivier
